The international law firm Gianni, Origoni, Grippo & Partners confirms yet again its leadership at the 2010 Top Legal Awards ceremony held last night in Milan.
The firm was a double winner and was crowned “Law Firm of the Year” for both the Public law and Energy categories. The trophies were assigned by an external jury made up of General Counsels and representatives of the most important companies in Italy.
The award granted to the Energy team was presented as one of the most significant due to the vigour which characterised this industry throughout the year as well as for the entity of the deals.
According to the jury’s motivation: “The department is a guiding light of the firm. It was involved in all the major renewable energy deals, assisting a significant number of the most important energy companies on the market, in both M&A deals as well as in the project financing of innovative projects. The team handled the project financing of the largest photovoltaic plant in Italy.”
The second award was granted to the Public Law team as, according to the jury, it “thrives in all areas of the sector. Due to its multidisciplinary composition, the team distinguishes itself for its ability to offer judicial and out of court advice. The firm’s activity in the field of real estate, as well as in the infrastructure and transport sectors, has been very intense.”
