Rome, 21 October 2016 - The international law firm Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners expands its services and launches GOP4Venture, a new specialised group dedicated to venture capital and technology transfer. This project is ground-breaking for the Italian, legal market and combines traditional M&A skills, for which the firm has been recognised as market leader for years, with those needed for the commercial exploitation of new and evolving technologies, including intellectual property, joint ventures and in particular fundraising.
GOP4Venture is targeted at venture capitals funds, accelerators, incubators, start-up, research spin-offs and small-medium innovative companies. Through the sharper focus of specialisation, the firm will be able to engage better with the dynamic market of innovation and technology transfer, both expanding sectors that have attracted the commitment and resources of Italian and foreign institutional investors, universities and research centres.
GOP4Venture therefore represents a synthesis of the track record that has made Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners a first point of reference not only for financial players, start-ups and the country’s principle incubators, but also for all those public institutions who have taken part in developing the policies destined to govern research and innovation for the future in Italy, in which the firm has been an active participant for months.
The head of the GOP4Venture team - which includes 8 of the firm’s professionals able to cover a large breadth of expertise, from corporate law, intellectual property to tax, commercial and administrative law as well as assistance in accessing capital markets – is partner Renato Giallombardo who has long-standing and in-depth experience in M&A and private equity.
