Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners wins at the 2017 Top Legal Awards

November 20, 2017

Milan, November 20, 2017  -  The international law firm Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners was a two-time winner at Top Legal Awards, the annual event that recognizes and celebrates top professionals in the legal sector.
During the ceremony held in Milan, the firm collected the following awards:

Professional of the Year award in Corporate M&A - Roberto Cappelli. The jury stated: “His name is well-known to the market for his distinctive negotiating skills. His contribution was decisive in guaranteeing Rossoneri Sport Investment’s acquisition of Milan and Boscolo’s acquisition of Värde, succeeding where many Italian and international players had not. The latter transaction is the most important operation in the Italian hotel industry in recent years.”;

Law Firm of the Year - Litigation. The jury announced “The team is experienced in disputes concerning national and international trade and acquisitions. In the framework of the tender offer for the stakes in Ansaldo Sts, the team successfully assisted Hitachi obtaining a ruling which constitutes a reference point in the limits of the application of the relevant sanctions provided for in Article 110 of the Consolidated Law on Finance concerning the breach of the Opa rules."

The work of all the nominated firms were evaluated by a technical jury - composed of General Counsel and Heads of Corporate and Legal Affairs of leading companies and banks – which was divided by work groups per winning categories.
