Francesco Gianni is crowned Professional of the Year, Antonella Capria Professional of the Year in the field of Administration and the Firm wins Best Energy Team of the Year
Milan, 25 November, 2013 - The international law firm Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners was a big winner at Top Legal Awards, the annual event that recognizes and celebrates top professionals in the legal sector.
During the ceremony held in Milan, the firm, which was among those receiving the most accolades, collected three awards: Francesco Gianni, Professional of the Year (for the third time), Antonella Capria, Professional of the Year in the field of Administrative Law and the Firm also won Best Energy Team of the Year (for the third time).
The jury - an independent panel composed of 20 General Counsel of leading companies and banks – underlined the leadership of the Firm and its professionals through a series of motivations.
Francesco Gianni was proclaimed Professional of the Year not only for his ability to continuously “guide the firm with innovation, following a long-term vision based on business diversification and internationalization”, but also for having “secured some of the most important mandates in the market, among which was General Electric’s acquisition of Avio”.
Antonella Capria was awarded Professional of the Year in the field of Administrative Law for the assistance she rendered in over 40 judicial review cases, all of which were closed with success due to the innovative defense strategies applied”.
Finally, the firm won, for the third time, Best Energy Team. According to the jury, this team of over 50 professionals “handled all the main M&A deals in the energy sector as well as the most significant transaction in the field of renewable resources in Italy, which was considered particularly complex due to the involvement of numerous jurisdictions.
