GOP awarded Welfare Champion at the 2021 Welfare Index PMI

September 09, 2021

Rome, September 9, 2021 – International law firm Gianni & Partners was awarded "Welfare Champion" during the Welfare Index PMI 2021 event, held in Rome last Tuesday and promoted by Generali Italia with the participation of Confindustria, Confagricoltura, Confartigianato and Confprofessioni.

The firm was awarded for its commitment to the well-being of its employees. It is the fourth year in a row that GOP has been nominated Welfare Champion. This award recognizes the firm's commitment to its internal community and fits with GOP Cares, the sustainability program launched in 2019 environment (GOP Cares Green), people (GOP Cares Social), and governance (GOP Cares Work).

During the event, the Welfare Index PMI Report was presented, a research that analyzes the level of welfare in over 6,000 small and medium sized Italian enterprises and rewards those that during the year have distinguished themselves for the welfare initiatives.

The Report highlighted how companies have implemented numerous corporate welfare initiatives to tackle the pandemic: from diagnostic services for Covid-19 (43.8%) to remote medical consultation services (21.3%), to new
health insurance policies (25.7%).

The survey assessed the social impact of corporate welfare initiatives on all stakeholders: workers, families, communities, suppliers, consumers. In addition, the research also evaluated the commitment of companies in protecting employees’ rights and diversity, in their responsibility towards consumers and suppliers, in human capital development and towards ensuring safe working conditions.
