Francesco Mirizzi is an associate in the Corporate-M&A department. His practice focuses mainly on corporate matters, including domestic and cross-border M&A and Private Equity transactions.
Francesco spent a year in our New York office where he advised on cross-border transactions. Prior to joining Gianni & Origoni, Francesco was an associate of the Corporate-M&A department of a leading Italian law firm, and a foreign associate in a leading Chinese law firm in Shanghai where he gained extensive corporate experience, with a particular focus on cross-border M&A transactions, international commercial contracts and joint ventures.
After graduating cum laude at Università degli Studi di Bari “Aldo Moro” in 2011, he obtained a Ph.D. in Comparative Law, spending a semester as a Ph.D. Visiting Researcher at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies - University of London. He also earned a Master of Laws - LL.M. in Corporate Law, M&A and Private Equity at The University of Chicago Law School, and he was a Kirkland & Ellis Corporate Lab Team Member. He has been a member of The University of Chicago Alumni Club of Italy since 2020.
He is a member of the Italian Bar (Court of Appeal of Bari).
