Francesco Cerciello carries out his activity in the Intellectual Property, TMT and Cybersecurity Department, providing assistance to national and international clients in the fields of new technologies, privacy and cybersecurity.
Before joining Gianni & Origoni, he worked at the Italian offices of major international law firms, focusing on technologies and data protection.
Francesco graduated in Law from Federico II University. In addition, he completed an Executive Program in Data Protection Law organised by LUISS University in partnership with Google and achieved the LL.M. Degree in Law of Internet Technology at Bocconi University.
Francesco has obtained certifications as to “Auditor/Lead Auditor Management Systems: Techniques for Audit” under the UNI EN ISO 19011:2012 standard, and as “Privacy Auditor” under the UNI 11697:2017 standard.
He is a member of the Support Pool of Experts of the European Data Protection Board in the fields of “Technical expertise in new technologies and information security” and “Legal expertise in new technologies”.
Francesco also serves as a teaching fellow for the course in “Law and Policies of Cyberspace for National Security” at the University of Foggia.
He is a member of the Italian Bar.
He speaks Italian and English.
