Elisabetta Gardini is Partner and Co-Head of the Environmental Law Department at Gianni & Origoni.
In the environmental law area, she has been assisting international leading operators in the oil, chemical and steel sectors for over 20 years.
She provides assistance, both in extrajudicial and judicial matters, on the procedures concerning clean-up of contaminated sites, IPPC authorization, Environmental Impact Assessment, major-accident hazards prevention and circular economy (waste management, end of waste and by-products). She has also experience in environmental damage litigation.
As to the energy sector, she developed wide experience with respect to all aspects of the permitting procedures for the development of power plants and, in particular, of plants from renewable sources. She also assists numerous clients, both in extrajudicial and judicial matters, on issues related to the Emission Trading system and to incentives, including cogeneration incentives, white certificates and incentives for plants fueled by renewable sources.
From 2003 to 2009 she worked at the Milan office of a leading international law firm and she has also been seconded for 6 months in the London office.
After a period of pre-graduation study at the University of California, San Diego in 2001, she graduated in Law “maxima cum laude” from the University of Bologna in 2002.
Elisabetta has enriched her experience, teaching at post-graduate courses and collaborating to publications on Environmental Law.
She is a member of the Italian Bar. She is entitled to act in front of the Supreme Courts and she assisted clients before the Constitutional Court and the EU Court of Justice.
She speaks Italian, English and French.
