Richard Hamilton
Partner

Richard Hamilton specialises in debt and equity capital markets, advising issuers, banks and private equity funds in securities offerings, such as IPOs, MTN programmes, bond issues, capital increases and similar transactions. Other areas of experience include M&A and litigation, and in recent years he has also developed significant expertise in Brexit-related matters..

Richard joined Gianni & Origoni in 2010 after having worked for almost ten years at a leading international law firm in Italy. Previously, he worked for English law firms in London.

In 1986 he graduated from the University of Leeds and attended the University of Westminster and the College of Law, in London.

He has been a Solicitor in England & Wales since 1996 and an Avvocato admitted to the Milan Bar since 2007.

ECM transactions that Richard has worked on include: IPO’s by Ferragamo, Il Sole-24 Ore, RDB, Marr, Amplifon and Biesse; capital increases by UniCredit and Snam Rete Gas; and the reverse takeover on AIM by Titan Europe.

He speaks Italian and English.
