Selma Masood
Partner

Selma specialises in contentious commercial disputes as well as commercial transactions, with her main practice areas being litigation (both commercial and civil), corporate and commercial law, cross-border disputes, Mergers & Acquisitions, mediation and arbitration. 
She qualified as a Solicitor in Hong Kong in 2006 and in early 2016 she set up SM & Co Solicitors, our associated law firm in Hong Kong. Prior to setting up her own law firm, she worked for various international law firms in Hong Kong, and was made Partner in a local firm. 

Selma became Counsel of Gianni & Origoni on 17 February 2016 and she was appointed Partner on 1 April 2021. 

She graduated from the University of Manchester with a Bachelor of Music Degree and Bachelor of Law degree, and obtained a Postgraduate Certificate of Laws (PCLL) from the University of Hong Kong. 
She is a Solicitor on the General Panel of Mediators in Hong Kong (HKIAC) and a Solicitor on the Legal Aid Panel. Selma also had a stint in the Hong Kong Judiciary, sitting as a Deputy Magistrate at Eastern Magistracy. She also sits on the International Commercial Disputes Tribunal. 

Selma speaks English, Cantonese, French and Mandarin.
