London/Milan, 20 October 2025 – International law firm Gianni & Origoni continues to grow by strengthening its Banking & Finance practice with the arrival of Norman Pepe and the entire team from iLS London – Milan, the boutique firm founded by Norman and specialised in structured finance and distressed debt.
Effective 1 January 2026, he will join Gianni & Origoni as an Equity Partner, accompanied by his team of experts: lawyers Fabrizio Occhipinti, Federico De Zan, Luca Marzolla, and Allegra Batacchi Greco.
Norman will be based in the firm’s London office, while the rest of the team will operate from the Milan office, further strengthening the firm’s presence on the ground and enhancing its ability to meet the needs of both Italian and international clients in an even more comprehensive and tailored manner.
Recognised as one of the leading experts in structured finance applied to the non-performing loans (NPL) sector, Norman’s practice focuses on banking and structured finance, with a focus on residential and commercial mortgage-backed securitisation transactions, distressed portfolios, non-performing loans, principal finance and real estate finance transactions.
His experience, along with that of his team, further enhances the capabilities of the Banking & Finance department, strengthening Gianni & Origoni’s ability to support clients in increasingly complex and cross-border transactions.
Norman graduated with honours in Law from the University of Florence in 2000 and is qualified both as an Italian lawyer as well as a Solicitor of England and Wales. Before launching iLS in 2018, he gained extensive experience at leading Italian and international law firms in London and Milan.
With the addition of Norman and his team, Gianni & Origoni’s Banking & Finance department now counts 35 professionals, including 7 partners, further strengthening the firm’s position as a leading player in the international legal market.
