Milan, 6 marzo 2026 – International law firm Gianni & Origoni received multiple awards at the 2026 Legalcommunity Finance Awards: Norman Pepe was named “Lawyer of the Year Non-Performing Loans”, while the firm was awarded “Law Firm of the Year Restructuring” and won the “Deal of the Year Finance” award for Enel’s €12 billion sustainability-linked revolving financing.
The ceremony, held in Milan, provided an opportunity to recognise the legal professionals who have distinguished themselves in the field of finance over the past year. During the thirteenth edition of the event, the jury presented awards to the firms and professionals who stood out the most for their reputation and activity over the course of the year.

Law Firm of the Year Restructuring
Among the most active in the sector, the team assisted a leading group operating in specialised distribution in the restructuring of its debt and the relaunch of its business, as well as in the management of complex negotiations with a large pool of banking institutions and key commercial creditors.
Deal of the Year Finance – Enel’s €12 billion sustainability-linked revolving financing
The Italian energy giant was assisted in the execution of a committed sustainability-linked revolving credit facility for a total amount of €12 billion, with a five-year maturity. This is currently the largest sustainability-linked revolving credit facility denominated in euros on the market. It was granted by 26 global financial institutions, including Mediobanca acting as documentation and facility agent.
Lawyer of the Year Non-Performing Loans – Norman Pepe
Recognised as an expert in structured finance in the distressed credit sector, Pepe primarily focuses on banking law and structured finance, with expertise in securitisations and real estate financing. His recent arrival has further strengthened the firm’s finance department, expanding its ability to handle complex transactions.
