Ciro Pellegrino is a lawyer with extensive experience in corporate criminal law and he is Co-Head of the White Collar Crime Department. Together with his team, he assists Italian and foreign clients, representing a point of reference in judicial and extrajudicial activities at national and international level. He assists Italian and foreign entrepreneurs, managers and companies involved in complex criminal proceedings with high media exposure, relating to offences connected with business activities, including corruption and other offences against the public administration, money laundering, corporate, banking and financial, tax and bankruptcy offences, as well as offences relating to health and safety at work, the environment and cybercrime.
He assists companies in the preventive management of criminal risk, providing strategic advice on compliance and organisational models. He carries out defensive investigations, including preventive investigations, in accordance with the Code of Criminal Procedure, and conducts internal investigations in accordance with the international standard ISO 37008:2023 and best industry practices, working in synergy with corporate governance and control bodies.He also has more than twenty years of experience in the field of sports offences, providing assistance to international federations and athletes in proceedings relating to betting and doping before the main national and international sports jurisdictions, including the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne, the Independent International Court appointed by the ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) and the Independent International Court appointed by the ITF (International Tennis Federation).
He founded one of Italy's most reputable boutique law firms specialising in corporate criminal law and, in 2026, after a long collaboration, his firm merged with Gianni & Origoni.
He graduated summa cum laude and with honours at the age of 22 from LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome. He is a lecturer at the University of Tuscia and the LUISS Guido Carli School of Management. He has also taught at the Carabinieri Officers' School in Rome, LUMSA University and the University of Rome Tor Vergata.He chairs numerous Supervisory Boards pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001 for leading companies in Italy and internationally, and was a member of the Ministerial Commission for the study of administrative liability of entities and the Ministerial Commission on bankruptcy offences. He has been a member of arbitration bodies at CONSOB and Chairman of the panel within CONI's highest sports justice body.
He is a member of the Rome Bar Association and is qualified to practise before the Court of Cassation and other higher courts.
He speaks Italian and English.
