Ciro Pellegrino is an expert in corporate criminal law. Individuals and companies turn to him for their defense in relation to crimes linked to business activities, including corruption and other crimes against the public administration, money laundering, corporate, banking and financial crimes, tax crimes, bankruptcy crimes, crimes relating to health and safety at work, environmental crimes and IT crimes. He also provides consultancy services on corporate compliance, including internal investigations, with particular reference to the administrative liability of entities under Legislative Decree No. 231/2001, in cases of predicate offences. He has been involved in some of the most sensitive criminal cases in recent years and, together with his team, has become a point of reference in the field of corporate criminal law.
He also has more than twenty years of experience in the field of sports offences, providing assistance to various federations and numerous international athletes in matters relating to betting and doping before national sports jurisdictions and international bodies: the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne; the Independent International Tribunal appointed by the ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals); Independent International Tribunal appointed by the ITF (International Tennis Federation).
He founded one of the most reputable law firms specialising in corporate criminal law and in 2026, after a long collaboration, his boutique firm merged with Gianni & Origoni.
He graduated summa cum laude and with honours at the age of 22 from LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome. He is a lecturer at the University of Tuscia and the LUISS Guido Carli School of Management. He has lectured at the Carabinieri Officers' School in Rome, LUMSA University and Tor Vergata University.
He chairs supervisory bodies for a number of companies. He was a member of the Ministerial Commission for the Study of Administrative Liability Arising from Corporate Offences and the Ministerial Commission for the Study of Bankruptcy Offences. He is a member of arbitration bodies at CONSOB and Chairman of the panel within CONI's highest sports justice body.
He is a member of the Italian Bar Association. He is qualified to practice before the Corte di Cassazione and other higher courts.
