Luciano Acciari specialises in tax and corporate matters and his extensive professional experience has been an integral piece in numerous Italian and foreign operations and complex issues of ordinary taxation.
He joined the firm in 2008 after maturing a broad experience in large Italian companies and public institutions. From 1984 to 1996 he worked for Finmeccanica S.p.A. (a leading State-owned company operating in the aerospace industry) in the legal, corporate and tax department and co-ordinated the group’s major M&A transactions. He regularly worked on cases involving the stock market rules and obligations for the Italian listed companies, and with the antitrust matters related to acquisitions and disposals. From 1973 to 1984 Luciano was a manager of the Italian Ministry of Finance and collaborated with several work groups in the processing of tax laws and regulations.
Before joining Gianni & Origoni, Luciano worked for a leading tax law firm where he dealt with structured finance.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of a number of large Italian companies, including Finmeccanica, ST Microelectronics N.V., Autostar Immobiliare S.p.A.
He holds a law degree from the University “La Sapienza” of Rome.
He speaks Italian and English.
