London, December 17, 2012 –Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners was designated as the winner of “Legal Advisor of the Year” for Italy at the European M&A Awards 2012 hosted by Mergermarket and Financial Times.
This award, considered to be one of the most prestigious on the European M&A scene, was distributed during the annual awards ceremony held in London which was attended by the most important financial and legal advisors on the European and International arena.
With this award, Mergermarket (the independent, international company part of the Financial Times Group) recognizes the high level reputation the firm beholds on the market. In 2012 the firm, which prides in the country’s largest M&A team, has been involved in the most important transactions that have taken place in Italy such as the sale of the San Raffaele hospital, the acquisition of Snam, Sace e Simest by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti as well as the acquisition of Hera by Fondo Strategico Italiano which represents the fund’s first investment in a company which operates in the public utility services sector.
