The Ministry of Economy of United Arab Emirates and The National Research Council of Italy (Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche - CNR) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries.
The agreement establishes a long term, mutually beneficial strategic relationship between the parties and aims to achieve a distinctive cooperation in the fields of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), Innovation and Research and Development (R&D). This collaboration and project were accomplished also due to the experience Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners has acquired throughout the years in the United Arab Emirates.
The Memorandum also forsees the creation of a 6-member Committee (3 of which will be nominated by the CNR and 3 by the Ministry of Economy of United Arab Emirates) which has the duty to elaborate a detailed Action Plan regarding the fields of mutual interest as well as the steps to achieve the common goals.
Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners, the first Italian law firm to open an office in UAE, contributed and advised on the stipulation of the Memorandum. From its Abu Dhabi office, the firm’s Partner Renato Giallombardo, MENA Region Coordinator, assisted to the signing and was nominated as member of the Committee.
