Pietro Rossetto works with the Financial Markets department and deals with regulatory profiles on banking and financial services, mutual funds, collective asset management, as well as operations inherent to listed companies. In particular, he specializes in new technologies, with reference to tokenization of financial instruments, real-world assets and investment funds.
Prior to joining Gianni & Origoni, he worked at a boutique firm based in Milan, maintaining a vertical focus on blockchain technology. He has had the opportunity to explore different branches of law, such as criminal law, assisting victims of crypto scams and frauds. He developed T&Cs for web3 projects, and provided legal assistance during token issuance, both within regulated markets and under MICA regulation. He founded in early 2022 a community for web3 professionals and collaborates continuously with start-ups and innovative realities to accelerate the adoption of blockchain technology in Italy.
He graduated in September 2022 from the University of Trento discussing a thesis on structural changes to intellectual property law introduced by non-fungible tokens. He completed two Erasmus programs, at the University of Liège in Belgium and the University of Lodz in Poland.
He is enrolled as a trainee lawyer with the Italian Bar Association.
He speaks Italian, English and French.
