Matia B. Maggioni provides assistance on commercial law and insolvency advising financial institutions on restructuring and turnaround matters. He also advises insolvent companies, investors and creditors in relation to debt restructuring, using the tools provided for by the Italian bankruptcy law including certified plans, debt restructuring agreements, and compositions with creditors.
Before joining the Firm, Matia provided his professional activity in other primary Italian law firms and he has achieved a significant experience in major complex restructuring operations, such as, for example, debt releasing arrangements through assignment of receivables and ensuing
He graduated in Law from the University of Milan in 2002, with a dissertation in Commercial Law: “The Passivity Rule in the takeover bids”.
He is a member of the Milan Bar since 2004.
Matia speaks Italian, English and French.
