Milan - The international law firm Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners has been awarded “Law Firm of the Year” at the Top Legal Awards, the annual event that recognizes and celebrates the top professionals in the legal sector.
It is the second time in a row that the firm has been crowned with this prestigious award. According to the Top Legal jury it “highlights the ability of the firm to successfully attain its annual targets, among which has been high profile lateral hiring. On the Italian front, the firm assisted Cassa Depositi e Prestiti in its acquisition of a stake in Snam and advised San Raffaele in the restructuring and sale of the famous Milan hospital and research centre to new owner Rotelli. Internationally, the firm has continued to grow, expanding and developing its foreign desks.”
During the ceremony two of the firm’s lawyers also received important, individual “professional of the year” awards which further confirm the firm’s excellency and ability to manage complex cases. In the field of Corporate law, Roberto Cappelli won his award “for his long stream of successes, among which was the Benetton delisting” while Gabriella Covino took home the award in field of Restructuring “for having managed complex and multifaceted cases, of great strategic importance for the market”.
The Top Legal Awards, which have now reached their 6th year, are a point of reference for the legal market and are adjudicated by an independent panel composed of General Counsels of leading companies and banks. These awards follow other important tributes won by the firm during the year.
Tomaso Cenci, Managing Partner of the firm, states: “These awards bear witness to the high level of excellence and professionalism that our firm is able to consistently deliver. We give a special vote of thanks to our clients who continue to recognize and appreciate our commitment towards them.”
