Ottaviano has been involved in the energy and infrastructure sector for 20 years and has advised several foreign and domestic clients on corporate and project financing transactions. He is particularly recognized for his expertise in regulatory matters, transmission and transportation networks, TPA exemptions, development and financing of projects, import of gas and electricity, project contracts, tariffs and other regulatory matters concerning utilities in general, joint ventures, tolling agreements, as well as in relation to the European CO2 emission trading system and other incentivisation mechanisms under European and Italian law. He also advises foreign and domestic clients on investments in the utilities sector.
Ottaviano graduated maxima cum laude in Law from the University of Rome in 1990. He has been with the firm since 1995 and in 2001 he was promoted Partner. He spent several years in charge of our London office.
He is a member of the Italian Bar, as well as being registered as a European Lawyer with the Law Society in England.
He speaks Italian and English.
