Ettore Scimemi is professor of Private Economic Law and of European Corporate Law at the University of Padua. He focuses on corporate, commercial and insurance litigation, corporate law and capital markets regulation.
After graduating in Law “maxima cum laude” from the University of Padua, he went on to obtain a Ph.D in commercial law from the University "Cattolica del Sacro Cuore" of Milan and an LL.M. from the Yale Law School where he specialised in the economic analysis of corporate and commercial law.
Ettore is admitted to the Italian Bar and is also a member of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), of the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI) and of the Italian Society of Law and Economics (ISLE). He is the author of several articles on corporate and bankruptcy law and on securities regulation and of a book on voting control and shareholder agreements.
He speaks Italian and English.
