Rome, September 26, 2018 - International law firm Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners announces the entry of Valentina Canalini. Valentina will further strengthen the Corporate Finance practice focusing, in particular, on regulatory aspects.
Valentina returns to GOP after an experience as Legal Adviser to the President of the Council of Ministers of Italy, during which she worked for the Prime Minister's Office at Palazzo Chigi during the Gentiloni Government, from January 2017 to June 2018. Before then Valentina had been part of the Energy and Infrastructure team of Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners.
During her professional career, Valentina gained extensive experience in the areas related to energy, transport and infrastructure, in particular in the field of both project financing and M&A transactions. She assisted important Italian and foreign clients in the various stages of development, financing, sale and purchase of plants for the production of energy from both conventional and renewable sources, as well as in the financing and development of infrastructures.
After obtaining a degree in Law with honors from the University of Milan in 2008, she attended as Visiting Scholar the University of California, Berkeley in 2007 and obtained a Ph.D. in Company Law and Financial Markets at the University "Alma" Mater Studiorum "of Bologna in 2014.
