Piero Fattori was Head of the Italian Competition Authority’s Legal Service from 1995 to 2002. He is a recognised expert in domestic and Community antitrust law as well as in Italian antitrust procedure, often assisting companies before the administrative court tasked with reviewing the Authority’s decisions and before the civil courts. Piero was also formerly an officer at CONSOB, the Italian Regulator for the stock-exchange and trade, where he had been an assistant to the President.
He graduated in Law from the University “La Sapienza” of Rome.
He often speaks at conferences and seminars on Italian and Community antitrust law and has written a number of articles on such topics. He co-authored an authoritative book on the application of Italian competition law with Mario Todino, a European Commission’s Official. He often lectures on European and Italian competition law.
He is a member of the Italian Bar.
He speaks Italian and English.
