Claudia Colomba specialises in financial regulatory law and assists Italian and international financial institutions in the provision of banking, investment, insurance and payment services, as well as in relation to collective savings management. She assists banks, investment firms, financial intermediaries, insurance companies and asset managers, in relation to organisational profiles and business conduct rules.
During her activity, she provided assistance for the marketing in Italy of foreign UCIs, managed the regulatory aspects of extraordinary transactions involving supervised entities and assisted foreign financial institutions for the purposes of starting operations in Italy as well as on a continuous basis. She also assisted primary market operators on financing activities, consumer credit and anti-money laundering. She assisted primary asset managers in providing portfolio management services to institutional entities, such as pension funds and social security funds. Her experience in the Fintech (including cryptoassets, DLT, invoice trading, crowdfunding) and ESG fields completes her profile.
Before joining Gianni & Origoni, she worked in a primary international law firm for more than 15 years and cooperated with the regulatory team of ASSOSIM during a brief secondment period.
She graduated in Law from the University LUISS Guido Carli of Rome in 2007.
She is a member of the Italian Bar Association.
She speaks Italian and English.
