Rome, May 13, 2024 – Komen Italia celebrated the 25th edition of the Race for the Cure and GOP once again took part in this sporting event with the aim to support research and prevention projects carried out by the Foundation.
In Rome, the four-day event began on Thursday May the 9th at the Circus Maximus with the inauguration of the Health Village: 170 stands set up by Komen Italia which offered prevention tests and workshops with the aim to raise awareness and promote women’s health.
The event culminated yesterday, Sunday May the 12th, with the traditional run/walk event through the heart of the capital in which we also participated in with a team of over 80 people.
While some chose to run the 5 km race and others to walk the traditional 2 km through the streets of the capital’s historic centre, we spent a pleasant day among colleagues all driven by the same goal: to raise funds for the awareness, prevention and research projects carried out by Komen Italia.
In these 25 years, thanks to the funds raised during the Race of the Cure, more than 1,500 women's health projects have been set up by Komen Italia.
