Hong Kong, 27 April 2015 – Italian law firm Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners and Chinese law firm Han Kun Law Offices have announced today a formal alliance agreement.
Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners is a leading Italian firm with about 360 lawyers distributed in the offices of Rome, Milan, Bologna, Padua, Turin, Abu Dhabi, Brussels, Hong Kong, London and New York. Han Kun is a full-service Chinese law firm specializing in cross-border transactions with offices in Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Shenzhen. The alliance also includes Han Kun’s Hong Kong associated firm, Choy, Cheung & Co.
The tie-up aims to service clients in China and Hong Kong, as well as Chinese investors with strategic interests in Italy and Europe. Under the agreement, the two firms will work together, allowing clients to benefit from the firms’ combined skills, expertise and multi-jurisdictional reach.
The agreement involves combined teams dedicated to specific clients/practices, client development arrangements, joint training, consultation and marketing.
This agreement follows hard on the heels of Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners’ and Han Kun’s launches of their Hong Kong offices, which were announced respectively in April and December 2014. The agreement will further enhance the firms’ international practices.
